Exercise for the Sporting Dog
If your dog participates in sporting dog competitions, you’ll want to make sure your dog is in prime physical condition. Core conditioning is an essential part of any athletes’ training program, and this is just as true for the canine athlete. By adding strengthening activities to your dog’s cross-training activities 3-4 times a week you’ll see major improvements in your dog’s reaction time and body control, trunk and core strength, balance, range of motion, body awareness and overall agility. You’ll also be helping your dog stabilize weaker areas of the body and prevent sports-related injuries.
