The FitPaws Balance Pad
An effective training and rehabilitation tool for improving motor skills and balance. Core muscles, limb muscles and joints are all employed as your dog works to maintain balance on this destabilizing surface. This low level challenge is great for beginners or dogs recovering from injury. You can also create varying degrees of difficulty by stacking two or more Balance pads, or combining it with other FitPaws training tools.

Before beginning this or any physical activity with your dog, ensure they are in good health. A trip to your veterinarian is a great way to start out on the right paw and reduce risk of injury. Always check your dog's nails prior to using this product. Dog nails should be closely trimmed as a sharp nail could damage the foam.

Excellent "place" for small dogs to practise distance work as well as changing things up a bit by working on and off a platform. Works well for my 15lb Havanese but pretty snug for anything much larger. Excellent quality, very little give, and easy to keep clean.

My dogs immediately wanted to try this out. I wish it was a larger size to give my big dogs more room to stand or sit on it. The description said it was nail resistant but one of my dogs nails immediately punctured the mat on the first day. I wish it was a more substantial material and more tear/puncture resistant.

I bought this to work on platform training with my eight week old lab puppy and carry along on training outings. It isn’t slippery and it’s low enough to be easy for her to get on and off safely, but tall enough to mark the area well for paw targeting. She figured it out on the first day!
